Preliminary Marine Geophysical Investigation prior to construction of a sewage pipeline across Lake Varna. Works were required to confirm lake-bed levels, soft sediment thickness and depth to bedrock.
The site Investigation comprised the following elements:
- Undertaking a bathymetric survey along the route of new proposed submarine pipelines
- Sub Bottom profiling of lake bed sediments using both Geoaccoustics CHIRP and Geoaccoustics “Boomer” system.
